Sterling Integrated Solutions provides a myriad of
surveillance, tactical tracking, explosives breaching training and driving
courses. Our team has years of
experience and expertise in the following areas:
Surveillance
Detection Training and Courses:
Surveillance Detection for Facilities encompasses an
overall analysis of facility vulnerability and the employment of pro-active SD
positions and operations. In this course, vulnerability is assessed from the
perspective of the attacker to first understand what a potential threat sees
and second to understand how an attacker may seek to exploit that
vulnerability. Upon determining vulnerabilities that exist at critical
facilities students embark on operational planning classes and exercises that
stress planning on what we know to be vulnerable from the attacker's
perspective and operating with on a whole different level of security that
compliments existing security infrastructure and plans.
Surveillance Detection for Routine Travel encompasses an
overall analysis of travel patterns for personnel and the recognition of
predictable areas as a key to understanding routine travel security. In this
course, students will learn to apply a universal approach to routine travel
planning and understand where their vulnerabilities lay as well as understand
where the weakness of hostile surveillance exists. Recognizing patterns leads
travelers to understand where the hostile surveillance's red zone exists. With
this knowledge, the traveler can be better prepared to combat any adverse
action through counter action pursuant to security awareness.
Protective Services and Operations Training
Made to order courses that provide training to teams or individuals who provide
security for VIPs in high-risk environments around the world. Tailored to
specific parts of the world when addressing threat, the course emphasizes the
full spectrum of protective operations from terminology, mission planning,
evasive driving and motorcade operations. The class culminates with a
comprehensive practical exercise.
Surveillance and Countersurveillance Training
Surveillance and Countersurveillance training encompasses the art of discreet
observation of an individual or group targeted for the purposes of intelligence
collection. In this course, students will learn the aspects of surveillance to
include area familiarization cover and flow while always considering potential
target actions. The course is tailored to small, medium and large urban
environments to allow for progression and testing of students' skills. Shorter
drills and longer scenarios utilizing a cadre of role players help students
refine their operational planning and execution of surveillance operations.
Fundamentals of Hostage Survival
Fundamentals of Hostage Survival Course that provides students with guidance on
pre-travel planning, interaction with a hostage-taker and basic survival
techniques and tactics from the moment of capture to the final resolution.
Tactical
Tracking Courses
Law Enforcement Tactical
Scout Tracking Basic Course
This course is for personnel assigned to rural patrol areas or area of
operations. Emphasis will be placed on officer safety tactics, techniques and
tracking. Students will learn how to track as a solo Scout Tracker and how to
track as a team. Students will learn basic (spoor) Track @ Sign recognition,
tactical scout movement, silent movement, hand and arm signals. Camouflage,
cover and concealment. Solo and team shooting applications for threat ambushes.
Military Combat Scout
Tracker Standard Course
This course is designed to teach students how to Track in a combat areas. The
student will learn, basic (spoor) track and sign recognition, camouflage and
concealment, time and distance interval drills, tactical and silent scout
movement, arm and hand signals, solo and team shooting for threat ambushes.
Students will also learn to recognize roadside bombs (IED), IED insurgent
gangs, analyze and record IED emplacement, trigger, and observation site.
Students will learn how to track at night, how to track in an urban
environment, counter-tracking and surveillance tracking.
Driving
Courses
Evasive and Defensive Driver Training
This comprehensive program is designed around the instinctive reactionary
process associated with crash avoidance and the expansion of the security
envelope beyond the confines of the vehicle. Based on analytical studies of
assaults on government and corporate personnel, practical exercises include
modulated, ABS and transitional braking, vehicle dynamics, high speed tactical
driving, attack recognition and counter surprise, tactical evasive and attack
scenarios.
Off-Road and Specialty Vehicle Driver Training
Students will learn not only the mechanics of the 4x4 drive train and
mechanical operation, but traction demands, shift points and proper gear
selection. Practical exercises include proper off-road braking, acceleration,
obstacle avoidance, emergency reactions, recovery techniques and a challenging
obstacle course. The culmination of training is an unknown terrain driving
exercise, combining all elements of training.
Advanced Driver and Crash Avoidance Training
Through hands-on experience, students learn practical driving maneuvers in
realistic emergency situations. Lessons include vehicle dynamics, effective
threshold braking and use of vision to anticipate and avoid crashes. Practical
exercises cover emergency braking, vehicle control at highway speeds, off-road
recovery, as well as instinctive reactive measures to highway emergencies
during wet and dry road conditions
Advanced
Driver Training and Crash Avoidance Training
A one day course deigned for teenagers or those persons wanting to increase
their driving skills beyond the basics. While most driver's education courses
focus on traffic laws, rules of the road and basic driving skills, this course
goes to the next level by teaching, through hands-on experience, practical
driving maneuvers in realistic emergency situations. This course is an
adaptation of some of the same techniques taught to our military and law
enforcement customers, where students learn braking and steering under high
demand conditions. Lessons include vehicle dynamics, effective threshold braking
and use of vision to anticipate and avoid accidents. Practical exercises cover
emergency braking, vehicle control at highway speeds, off-road recoveries, as
well as instinctive reactive measures to highway emergencies during wet and dry
road conditions. Off-road recovery covers how to safely bring a vehicle back on
the road when one or more wheels have left the road surface (a frequent cause
of many serious accidents involving young drivers). Students must possess a
valid drivers license. Course is normally conducted on Saturdays. Contact us
for scheduling information.
Explosive Breaching
This course is designed to teach students how to gain instantaneous entry into
the objective using charges that produce minimal shrapnel and overpressure
hazards. This is accomplished by employing charges specifically tailored to
surgically defeat the target with minimal collateral damage to friendly forces
or non-combatants.
Prerequisites: Must be commissioned law enforcement, military, or licensed
security professional. Proof of certification will need to be presented before
class.
